Quite Settled In!

Bandit is quite comfy at his new foster home.
His foster mom Alison writes: Bandit is a petite guy but with BIG Man Love! He is about 40 lbs and about the size of my hobbit pointer. He gets along great with other dogs and loves people! He is perfect size for my 5 and 9 year olds. Bandit follows them around the house and they love a dog that obeys them! Bandit listens to their commands of sit and stay.

Bandit will also play. The kids hide their face in their arms while laying on the carpet and Bandit crawls under their armpit and licks their face until they giggle and roll over. He loves attention. He is sitting next to me ready for me to pet him---looking at me with his big eyes. He eats like a champ and is on the road to recovery after testing positive for a tick borne illness that is completely curable. Bandit was diagnosed with Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. He is not demonstrating any symptoms but IBR tests any of our dogs that could have been exposed and sure enough he tested positive. He will be healthy in a few weeks He has such character and is waiting for his furever home once he is healthy.

Bandit stops by at Auntie Lisa's Place

Bandit came to visit IBR president's Lisa's place on the way to his foster home.
Oh---he's not so sure about the being carried thing, as Jim Michener is holding him---but boy is he glad he's out of that shelter...

Bandit gives Thelmalou a little kiss.

Bandit says "Thank you for rescuing me!"

A great boy!

Bandit did wonderfully at his temp foster home. He's sweet, cuddly and got along wonderfully with the other fur kids.

At the last moment...

Bandit was at a Missouri shelter and his time was running out. Luckily we found a temp foster for this boy and IBR was able to get him into safety.
